Council Member Chad Seidel was recently featured on Waterloop’s H2O Minute News to discuss what was found in the first round of data on PFAS prevalence in public water systems that was released by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under its Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule.

“I do think the UCMR5 data are giving us really good information that had it been available at the time of crafting the draft regulation, it might have led to some changes. I hope the EPA will consider that as it makes a big difference for how water utilities respond, for public health protection, how we communicate to the public about what matters and what’s important for their health.”
